CHUCK BASS

So, this is my rendition of Chuck Bass. Doesn't look too much like him, but I was happy with the finished product. I know it could be better, but I can tell I'm improving in my painting, which makes me happy!

WATERCOLOR IS FUN

I have been kind of down about painting lately. My last few paintings were not something to be proud of. I just wasn't in the mood, was feeling stressed, and didn't have much time to paint the last few paintings. This morning I got up early and painted this for my watercolor class. I turned on some music, I wasn't in any hurry, and it turned out quite nicely for my skill level! I was very happy with it. Here it is.

Our First Christmas

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Yay! its Christmas time! The best time of year. You get to do lots of shopping, make yummy holiday treats, sip hot cocoa, spend time with family, and be off school for half the month! What a great holiday! This is our first Christmas together, and tonight we decorated our first Christmas tree! We weren't going to have any holiday decorations, but thanks to a couple in our ward for the tree, and my great sister inlaw for the ornaments, we have the holiday spirit in our home! And it was free! I'm so greatful for how kind people are, because it really makes a difference to have a tree with gifts under it! It makes me happy and makes our little apartment feel like home. Here is our tree!

I've been teaching myself more and more how to alter photos in photoshop, because I really enjoy it, and the pictures can look a million times better after. I played around with brushes, adjustment layers, and filters. It's really fun to see the final product.

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

I have been thinking about things that have affected me in my life for a sculpture class, and it got me thinking of my most memorable childhood memories. Here they are

• My bunny died in England
• Paula gave me a little sketchpad thing
• Wesley's candy machine - such an entrepreneur at such a young age
• Wesley's fair's - bowling using our drinking cups as pins, giving out his gymnastics ribbons for prizes. they were the funnest!
• Vanessa's Bowl Cut
• Wesley's gymnastics events - I helped as a score holder and a guy gave me a piece of gum. It tasted like black licorice and was disgusting.
• playing toys - Wesley's version: normal people - had to pay for everything you did. You had to go on a vacation every so often. I didn't want to use money, cant we just play toys without needing to have them pay for stuff?
• Danny's version: war. I would rather play Wesley's way.
• I wanted a Big sweatshirt - i think i wore it once since it was too big for me and i gave it to mom.
• Collecting Snapple tops - they clicked when you pressed down on them. Sometimes i would pretend they were steering wheels for my barbies cars
• Collecting hotel key cards.
• I hated helping Wesley and Danny with their paper routes.
• Sleeping outside with the Willeys - i had a secret crush on Dustin Willey
• Aliesha told Vanessa she could only play with kids her age (me) --burn vanessa
• Me and Dustin were like way good friends until one special day - we were watching his dog and white sox mate and he asked me out. I felt bad saying no so i said yes. We didnt talk the rest of that summer. Then I became great friends with Aliesha

• Wesley was obsessed with the Hanson brothers Mmmm Bop
• Vanessa's bowl cut
• Wesley's butt crack hair cut (hey, at least grandpa liked it)

• Wesley took me shopping to the mall. We took the bus to the orem mall. I think i got my first pair of high heeled shoes. (wow wes, fashionable and entrepreneur-like)

• Going to the Zoo with Kayla Boyd, her family, and nessy
• I would make houses for my stuffed animals using shoe boxes
• grandma would take us to the dollar store to buy toys whenever we visited
• Me, sage, and a boy were jumping on the tramp. the boy took off his shirt, so me and sage took off ours. Mom told me to put my shirt back on and i felt bad, i didnt realize it was so bad.

• 1st grade- wanted to wear Danny's shoes to school. so i did. They were huge on me, but I didn't care. I wore them the next day too.

• I would only play with Nikki when Kylie and Angela were mean to me. Nikki loved when they were mean to me.
  
• Louise Payne's Halloween/Thanksgiving music tape.
  
• Wesley and mom fought alot. I would be scared when Dad had to come in and get after Wesley.

• Wesley would touch me every time he walked by me and i hated it
  
• Vanessa's TLC shirt had a booger on it once. I never ever touched that shirt or touched her when she would wear it.
• Me and Danny shared a room in the Springville renting house. I would flick my boogers during the night, since I didnt want to go throw them away. Probably millions of boogers on the floor by my bed.
  
• at seven peaks with Angela and Nikki. we were in a tube in the wave pool. Angela kept wanting to go deeper and deeper- I was scared and getting mad. I slapped her hard, and jumped out of the tube and swam to the side, got out, and avoided her the rest of the day.
• Lindsay on tv during the olympics wearing a hat with one of the olympic animals on it. she was so cute! (was) jk!
• Dad's dancing is the funniest.
  
• Moms dancing is the scariest
• Nate Barker came over for night games, and held me over our front yard - It was so scary, and I hated him after. I still do.
• In Provo house cutting the shower curtain. I got into trouble
• Wesley putting a fruit snack in Danny's hair and it melted when we were on vacation- It wouldn't come out, so we had to cut it out. Or was it danny's in wesley's hair?
• Wesley and danny went to Pocohontas without me in California
• Speakers conference in San Antonio Texas
• I wouldn't go on any rides
• I would spend all my money on stuffed animals
• The secret cement slide in front of our house (where the water would go down)
• Wesley would take a bullet for white sox
• Wesley never gets full
• Danny making fun of wesley for both of those things
• Vanessa's Bowl Cut
• Lindsay's spandex pants over her diaper - so funny and cute!
• Vanessa's princess party
• 7th grade me and brittanie got in a big fight over being sick of eachother- it lasted for a month. Britny D. sided with Britt, and Amanda sided with me.
  
• I loved Kevin Child in 2nd grade -Now i dont know.
  
• I loved Cash Johnson in 5th grade-Now Has tattoo's and drinks and is a DJ-nasty
  
• I loved Cori Jex in 5th grade-Now he has piercings like all over his body
  
• I loved Steve Nelson for like 5 years -married to a cute girl
• Mom and dad taking me to several orchestra concerts since i played the violin. I hated those.
  

I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones that came to my mind the fastest. Good times. Good childhood. Great parents and siblings. I was a happy girl.

My Essentials

There are several things that I just don't want to live without. They make me happy, and give me joy, and help me get through the stressful busy days of my life. They help me relax. These are my essentials. In no particular order.

• my husband - I live for him, live to see him, live to kiss him, live to cuddle and laugh and admire him.
• our families - we both have such AMAZING families. How did we get so lucky?
• the gospel - I would be nowhere without it
• friends - What would I do without that support in school, and in life?
• apples - I cant go more than two days without one. Luckily I normally don't, and eat one every day!
• Art and Design - This keeps me excited and motivated and inspired
• good teachers

• color
• cute clothes - help me feel confident. What would I do without confidence? I wouldn't have my husband, my job, and future job opportunities
• socks - my feet are always cold
• good food - Mmmmmmm soup on a cold day

• Work - I would feel so useless without a job, and the money is great too!
• Ken Follet's Fall of Giants - (I'm reading it now and its sooo good, the car rides to and from school are not so bad afterall)
• Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred - What would I do without these 30 minute workouts that keep me in shape and at my happy weight. It seriously works and I will tell everyone to do it.
• Gossip Girl - Serena, Blaire, Chuck.......I am happy just to think about it.
• Glee - Amazing talent
• Blogs - I am new to them, but have fallen for them hard and fast
• beautiful photography - I wish I could do that, but I can admire it
• Vintage anything - Also kind of a new love. Also have fallen hard and fast for it.
• A random movie on TV that you've never heard of but was surprisingly entertaining
• Free time to relax without homework and with my husband.

I found this way cute quote, and want it in my house! So I made this for work, and we are going to mount it and sell it in our local stores. I thought it was fun, and it looks way better when its all mounted and done!

I'M IN LOVE!

I am so in love with this photography! I laid eyes upon it and just got butterflies in my stomach! I love the femininity of it, the color treatment she does for it, and oh, I still have butterflies. It is so beautiful, she is so talented, and I cant wait until her fashion/editorial section is on the website! Love love love it!

I made this card for the card swap I'm in! The top is the front image, and underneath is the inside image. I am seeing cupcakes so much lately and it seems like the popularity of them is growing and growing, so it inspired me to do a birthday card with cupcakes!

FREEDOM WRITERS - ERIN GRUWELL

Danny and I went to hear Erin speak at UVU. She is so awesome and down to earth, and just a nice person. We got to meet her and she gave me a hug. Its amazing what she did in her life, and how many lives she helped. Such an inspiration!

We had a lot of fun at the Hunter/Bird halloween party! Chance was Rudolph the red nose reindeer and i was his evil hunter! Don't worry, I shot him and and now gonna hang him on the wall.

PAINTING MAILBOXES

Today I had to paint a picture of anything I wanted for my watercolor class. I chose to do the mailbox's. Norm thought it would be nice to let me wear his hat. he brought it out to me, so i felt bad not wearing it. Chance thought it was the funniest thing he's ever seen, me sitting out on the road painting with that hat on. He took pictures and told me to put my hood over my face so he wouldn't be so embarrassed. RUDE! Well, I think its a fun picture. I'll post the painting when its finished! (if it looks good)

My first golf experience!

DAY AT THE GOLF COURSE

Yesterday I went golfing for my first time! I wouldn't really call it golfing. Chance let me hit the ball like three times. They were probably the worst shots anyone's ever seen. It was fun taking pictures and hanging out with everyone. Chance kept getting mad at me for talking, and almost driving on the green. Whoops. . .
